Laurence A. Jacobs, MD, a Chicago area doctor and reproductive endocrinologist, once again receives honor as he is recognized in two Castle Connolly books: "TOP DOCTORS – CHICAGO METRO AREA 2006" and "AMERICA’S TOP DOCTORS 2006." "AMERICA’S TOP DOCTORS 2006" recognizes the 'nations leading medical specialists. The book selects the top 1/2% of medical specialists nationwide. In fact, Dr. Jacobs is the only Reproductive Endocrinologist/Infertility Specialist named in the Chicago Northern and Northwest suburban areas who has been honored in all the previous editions as well!
This is the sixth consecutive year Dr. Jacobs has been selected by Castle Connolly. In addition, CHICAGO MAGAZINE (January, 2006 and January, 2004) also recognized Dr. Jacobs as being tops in his field of infertility. In 1992 he was selected as a TOP infertility doctor by LADIES HOME JOURNAL.
Dr. Jacobs is the Chairman of the Gynecologic Laparoscopy/Endoscopy Committee at Lutheran General Hospital – a major teaching medical center in the Chicago area. Dr. Jacobs is a Mayo Clinic trained Reproductive Endocrinologist/Infertility Specialist practicing in the Chicago area for over 20 years. Dr. Jacobs, who is on staff at Lutheran General Hospital, Northwest Community Hospital, and Highland Park Hospital has his practice at the Fertility Centers of Illinois, S.C. where he primarily practices at his Buffalo Grove, Crystal Lake and Glenview offices. Most of Dr. Jacobs’s patients come from the northwest suburbs with others coming to him from throughout the Chicagoland area and the Midwest.
